I was searching online for a company that could restore some family items that used to belong to my grandfather who sadly passed away over 30 years ago. The items included a clock, temperature guage and barometer. Two items badly damaged that needed a lot of TLC. I found Clock Corner online, made contact, and arranged an appointment for the items to be looked at. Pleasingly, they felt they could be repaired and restored, and as of today after 30+ years, the items are now fully working and hold pride of place on my bedroom wall, in memory of a grandfather long passed.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all the help and specialist knowledge that you imparted which enabled us to complete our grandfather clock. When we started out it was a woodworking project, but we knew that when the time came we wanted it to have an authentic clock mechanism.

Only when we started looking online for this did we realise that we were in a minefield, and needed to talk to someone. Again, online it became evident that specialist clock places were few and far between but having been to your shop a few years ago with a mantle clock, we thought perhaps that's where we should start.

I recently brought my antique wall clock into your shop as instructed during a previous phone call. I had been recommended to your clock repairing service by several friends and also the jeweller in Castle, although I had been warned that you were rather expensive!

However, on taking my clock into your shop and explaining that the hands kept falling off and the chime was no longer working, the gentleman asked me to wait whilst he found a replacement screw and reconnected the chime etc, there and then. I couldn't have waited more than 10 minutes for the repair to be completed by the horologist and I was pleasantly surprised that he only charged me £10 for this service!

I wanted to let you know that I am absolutely delighted with the service I received and that I shall definitely be recommending your shop to all my friends.

I have just had my 18th Century Longcase clock serviced and the case restored. I am delighted with the result! The clock is working beautifully and looks fantastic back in its place. The expertise, skill and knowledge were of the highest quality whilst the antiquity of the piece was sympathetically preserved. Highly recommended. It was not a quick job as the case had to be sent to a specialist, but that did not matter to me.

Visited the shop for a watch battery replacement but the guy actually took the time to check all of the internals for me (having previously visited a terrible watch repair shop who had made a hash of my watch) which was both helpful and kind. He was very knowledgeable and even fixed a few bits. A rare form of customer service in this day and age! He was also very reasonably priced.

Keith at Clock Corner has attended to two clocks for us over the last 18 months.

Firstly, an early 20th century ship radio room clock. This has been problematic ever since I acquired it. Keith diagnosed the problem and restored the clock to what I would term 'proper running order' for the first time. It now runs to within 30 seconds per week and is wound every 7 days (whether she needs it or not) Delighted!

Secondly, a much more recent Westminster chime mantle clock. Again, on return it runs better than it has since we have owned it (approx 20 years) This item developed a fault (not related to his service) shortly after having collected it from Keith. I was particularly impressed with the accuracy of diagnosis, and the speed and cost of rectification.

Overall, I have used a number of clock repairs/service providers over the years, and in my view the standards to which Keith works are unmatched by any alternative I have found - highly recommended!

I would just like to say how grateful and delighted I was by the work done by Keith at Clock Corner on 3 very old and non-functioning clocks, I inherited from my parents.

They now all keep good time, and the pleasure I get from hearing them ticking and and chiming on the hour, is immense. The grandfather clock had a broken intricate brass hour hand, and it was skilfully welded together - an invisible repair. The clock had been written off by previous 'experts' in clock restoration - but Keith managed to bring it back to life. It now keeps perfect time - the chimes even sound in unison with the pips on the radio! 

One of the other two clocks was a rarity that Keith had never encountered before, but yet again he rose to the challenge and has got it working again. This did take some time, but was worth the wait.

I would have no hesitation in recommending that Keith at Clock Corner can be trusted to bring your treasured clock heirloom back to life. He has a lifetime of experience and is an obvious clock enthusiast. We are very fortunate to have this expertise in the area - people will travel from far and wide to find such a service. I also appreciated the advice on winding and maintenance he gave when returning the clocks to my home.

The ONLY issue is that you cannot expect your repairs to be done in a hurry. He has a backlog of work, and this is testament to how difficult it is to find a clock repairer with his skill. From the start, the need for you to be patient is made very clear, but I have waited 20 years to get these clocks working, so a further 6-8 week wait was well worth it!
